Credibility and Expertise

Once I passed WSET Level 3 Award in Wines, I just knew I couldn’t end my learning journey there as it was only beginning.

Spring Highlights

In March, IWEG partnered with the New York Wine & Grape Foundation Wines on a masterclass led by WineAlign’s Sara d’Amato. Sara provided a thorough overview of New York winemaking, touching on its unique regions, varietals, styles, regional expressions, and diversity. Participants explored appellation traits and viticultural practices of grape varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc. 

Global Perspective

I pursued the WSET Diploma because I love learning about wine, from grape growing to production to marketing and sales. Although I had completed the Winery and Viticulture Technician Program at Niagara College and worked in a winery, I knew the Diploma would provide a deeper more global perspective.

Cask Influence

On April 19th, over 500 WSET Diploma graduates and prize winners from around the world attended the graduation ceremony at the historic Guild Hall in London, UK and online. Meet some of our recent graduates.

Never Look Back

I retired three years ago and decided to pursue various interests, one of which was wine. As a dilettante and not being in the viticulture business, taking wine courses seemed daunting enough. I thought I knew something about wines and regions until I enrolled at IWEG, not realizing how much there is to learn about viticulture/viniculture.
