The WSET Diploma was an amazing journey of self discovery and challenge. I was able to gain an incredible understanding of wine styles and knowledge from around the world, which has had a profound impact on day-to-day operations at Rosewood Estates Winery. At the same time it armed me personally with invaluable confidence and familiarity when speaking to consumers, sommeliers, beverage managers or other producers – this has helped us both “sell” wine for Rosewood and has helped make critical production decisions by better understanding global taste preferences. I can’t thank IWEG and the WSET Diploma program enough for this as I never expected this type of result. On top of all this, I met some incredible wine-loving individuals along the way. It’s a rigorous and demanding program but one I am very happy to have completed.
