Edel Ebbs

After spending 15+ years as a senior executive in capital markets, corporate communications and corporate strategy with a global technology company, Edel decided in 2013 to leave the corporate world and pursue her dual passions: working with early-stage growth companies and learning about all things wine.

In addition to holding an MBA from Dalhousie University and the Certificate in Winemaking from the University of California (Davis), Edel completed the WSET Diploma in Wine and Spirits at IWEG, the WSET Level 3 Award in Wine and Spirits at the WSET London School, and is a Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Edel has been on IWEG’s Board of Directors since 2016 and currently supports a number of technology start-ups while also consulting for clients on wine-related corporate and private events. Edel was elected Chair and interim Treasurer of the Board in February 2023.
