So Much to Learn
As with any typical Italian family, Sundays were usually the day of the week dedicated to more elaborate meals – and the expectations were always high, particularly when a bottle of wine was brought to the table. I believe there is so much to learn about wine; it is an endless learning process. I decided to attend WSET courses in order to develop a deeper understanding about wine, improve my skills, be better able to interact with wine professionals, to learn even more, and get a WSET Diploma.

Mission Accomplished
This is a great opportunity to taste some absolutely first class wines not typically available in our market. It’s a great opportunity, and a great way to have first class education and make or renew meaningful connections with fellow IWEG students.

A Structured Way to Learn
I took this course out of self-interest and because my partner who also took it spoke so highly about it. I was looking for a structured way to learn about the characteristics of the most common varietals and what factors influence the wines made from them.

Recommending Wines
Professionally, I work for the LCBO and now have a better understanding of the products that we have available for consumers, as well as an appreciation for the products themselves. Personally, I am more confident in purchasing and recommending wines to family and friends!
-
Dream to Reality
After completing a couple of courses, I look forward to where this is going to take me. Will I become a product consultant at the LCBO or join another great company to advance my carrier in the wine industry? I know for sure whatever I do next will be related to wine.

Congratulations to Our New WSET Level 4 Diploma Graduates
Flavour wheels are an extremely accessible tool for use by the industry and enthusiasts alike, essentially providing a common language for describing the aromas of various compounds that arise during the whisky-making process. A consistent framework can offer the chance to create formalized tasting notes that everyone can relate to and understand.
