Credibility and Confidence

Man in black shirt sitting at a table with a flag and notes while smelling a glass of red wine,

Mihai is a WSET Diploma student immersed in the world of wine. He is a co-founder of the Romanian Wine Fair Montréal and an ambassador for Romanian wine brands. He is also a wine judge for Sélections Mondiales des Vins Canada and consultant for wine import agencies. Here’s how the program is giving him that industry edge:

I am pursuing the WSET Diploma to further my wine knowledge and to get the most in-depth information and tasting skills. This program is renowned around the world and since I work with businesses not only from Canada but also from Europe and especially Romania, this program will give me the necessary credibility and confidence to consult with wineries and to help them improve their business and especially exports around the world. After finishing the Diploma, my goals are to further promote Romanian wines but also sustainability in the winemaking field and consumer awareness of sustainable practices.

So far this program has pushed me to become better at every aspect of the winemaking process, wine business and also to improve my tasting skills. The WSET Diploma also helps network and create amazing connections throughout the industry and fellow students. I encourage future candidates to seriously consider this program if they are willing to work in the wine industry, but be prepared to study and put many hours into it, and you will see how rewarding it is, especially on the professional side!
